Project Overview

Cohire HR is a recruitment and human resource company that helps businesses find qualified employees while also helping job seekers discover employment opportunities.

The company operates across multiple African countries and needed a website that could support both sides of the hiring process.

Employers needed a way to submit job vacancies and pay service fees directly through the website.

Job seekers needed a way to upload their CVs, submit applications, and complete payments without relying on email conversations or manual processing.

This project was not built as a traditional company website.

The primary objective was creating a platform where employers and job seekers could complete the most important parts of the hiring process directly from the website while allowing the Cohire HR team to manage applications from a single location.

The project also involved taking over a website that had previously been handled by another developer before rebuilding it around the client’s actual requirements.

The Challenge

The client had already invested in a previous version of the website but was not satisfied with the outcome.

Several important requirements were either missing or not implemented the way the business expected.

At the same time, the website needed to support two completely different groups of users.

Employers needed to advertise job openings and pay service fees.

Job seekers needed to submit applications, upload CVs, and pay application fees.

The challenge was creating a website that made both processes simple while keeping administration manageable behind the scenes.

During development, an additional problem occurred when the existing hosting environment experienced issues that resulted in the website data being lost.

This required rebuilding work that had already been completed while also moving the project away from the previous hosting setup and into infrastructure owned directly by the client.

The Approach

Rather than making small adjustments to the existing website, the project was approached as a complete rebuild.

The website structure was redesigned to clearly separate information for employers and job seekers while making navigation easier for first-time visitors.

Dedicated pages were created for employers, job seekers, job listings, and contact enquiries.

The employer section was designed around helping companies submit job openings and pay the required service fee directly through the website.

The job seeker section was designed around helping applicants submit their details, upload their CV, and complete payment during the application process.

Alongside the redesign, the domain and website ownership were moved away from the previous developer and transferred into a dedicated Namecheap account controlled by the client, giving the business full ownership of its assets going forward.

Key Features

Paid Job Submission System

Employers can submit job vacancies directly through the website.

After completing the required information, employers are guided through the payment process before the submission is completed.

This removes the need for manual coordination and allows new vacancies to be collected through a structured process.

Job Application & CV Upload System

Job seekers can submit applications through dedicated forms built specifically for the recruitment process.

Applicants can upload their CV, enter their information, and complete the required service fee payment from a single location.

This creates a much smoother experience than collecting applications through email conversations.

Job Listings Directory

The website includes a dedicated job listings page where available opportunities can be published.

Visitors can browse openings and proceed directly to the application process when they find a suitable role,

Paystack Payment Collection

Using Payment Forms for Paystack, service fees are collected directly through the website.

Both employers and job seekers can complete payments without leaving the application process, helping reduce unnecessary back-and-forth communication.

Outcome

The completed website gives Cohire HR a central platform for managing recruitment enquiries, job postings, applications, CV submissions, and service fee payments.

Employers can now submit vacancies through a structured process instead of relying on manual communication.
Job seekers can browse available roles, upload their CV, submit applications, and complete payments from the same website.
The project also gave the client full ownership of their domain and hosting environment while replacing a previous implementation that did not fully meet the business requirements.

In addition to delivering the website, handover support was provided to help the client understand how to manage content, update listings, and operate the platform independently after launch.
